Film making in the magic islands

Weggefilms is a production company based in Lofoten, in the north of Norway. Inge Wegge is an award winning director, producer and cinematographer based in KabelvÃ¥g, Lofoten. He studied film at Nordland college of film and art, and has a passion for extreme sports, nature and the environment.

We make our own documentaries, co-produce Norwegian and international films, make commercials and help out with location management on other productions.

DESCENT INTO THE MAELSTROM

A stunning film based on majestic music based on a mesmerizing short story based on a unique natural phenomenon. With its powerful music composed by Philip Glass and majestic landscapes, DESCENT INTO THE MAELSTROM is an ode to the beauty and harsh living conditions of Northern Norway.

BREAKING SURFACE

Co-production Feature film 85 min

A few days after Christmas, Swedish/Norwegian half-sisters, Ida and Tuva, set out on a winter dive in a remote part of the Norwegian coastline. Towards the end of the dive, a rockslide traps Tuva under water.

Inge Wegge (25) and Jørn Ranum (22) spent nine months of cold, Norwegian winter in the isolated and uninhabited bay of a remote, arctic island by the coast of Northern-Norway, facing nothing but the vast Atlantic Ocean.

Playground Lofoten is following the Wegge siblings on their adventures with the majestic mountains and ever-changing weather of Lofoten as a backdrop. The three brothers and a sister challenge themselves through new ways of exploring nature, all while getting to know each other better.
